The Niger State Police Command has called on residents of the state to collaborate with the force to secure the lives and property of the people.
Mr Shawulu Dan-Mamman, the new Commissioner of Police, made the call on Thursday in Minna, after assuming duty as the 37th commissioner of police in the state.

“I solicit for the continued support and cooperation of residents and Niger people towards ensuring a more secured environment.”
He promised to work and partner with the people to fight crime and criminality in the state.
The News Agency of Nigeria reports that Dan-Mamman took over from former CP, Mr Ogundele Ayodeji, recently promoted and redeployed as Assistant Inspector General (AIG) of Police, Zone Seven, Abuja.
Dan-Mamman was CP, Force Provost Marshal, Abuja before his redeployment as the new Commissioner of Police, Niger command.
He had served in the state as Deputy Commissioner of Police, Department of Finance and Administration for four years. (NAN)
