Niger State: Rainstorm Wreaks Havoc On School, Gov Sani Bello Assures Swift Intervention

A heavy rainstorm has destroyed blocks of classrooms, at Ahmadu Bahago Secondary School in Minna, Niger State.

Inspecting the collapsed building, the Niger State Commissioner of Education, Hannatu Jibrin took note of the extent of the damage.

She said the school is one of the schools captured by Governor Abubakar Sani Bello led Adminstration in the next phase of the Whole School Development Approach Initiative, an initiative that aims to raise quality and standards across schools in the state by identifying and addressing the needs of the school and engage in continuous, cyclical processes for improvement.

However, the commissioner said the ministry will work out short term modalities in fixing the damaged portion.

She assured the community that the ministry is pulling resources to see how they can secure a place where students can write the WAEC Examination, which is fast approaching.
