Niger State To Key Into The National Digital Economy Policy And Strategy For A Digital Nigeria

Gov Abubakar Sani Bello of Niger State has pledged the State Government’s readiness to key into the National Digital Economy Policy and Strategy (NDEPS) for a Digital Nigeria which was developed under the able and brilliant leadership of the Minister of Communications and Digital Economy, Dr Isa Ali Ibrahim Pantami launched and unveiled by President Muhammadu Buhari.

The Governor also disclosed that Niger State will completely waive the Right of Way Levy in the State which will be made public in the coming days in line with the NDEPS for a Digital Nigeria.

The Governor made this known today when he paid a courtesy visit to the Ministry’s Corporate Headquarters, Abuja.

In his brief remarks, the Honourable Minister, Dr Pantami appreciated the governor for taking the bold decision to key into the Digital Nigeria project, stressing that waiving of Right of Way (RoW) levy will attract and encourage more investments to the State. The Minister maintained that the monetary benefit of the RoW levy is incomparable to the overall social-economic development to be gained on a long run.
