He attributed the current Gombe State developmental status to the commitment of all the past and the present crop of leaders who served in both military and democratic positions.

“Without the commitment and resilience of some notable citizens who played key roles in their respective capacities to ensure Gombe attained statehood status we wouldn’t be an opportunity today to serve you as Governors; that is why we will consistently be praying for them for Allah to reward them for such sacrifice”.

The Gombe State Commissioner of Police, CP Ishola Babitaa, who spoke on behalf of Heads of Security Agencies, commended the Governor for showing patriotism by organizing the anniversary events to mark both Nigeria’s 62nd and Gombe’s 26th days.
