… reaffirms Police commitment to maintain law and order/warn violent protesters to have a rethink
The Commissioner of Police, Nasarawa State Command, CP Umar Shehu Nadada, has felicitated with the good people of the state on the occasion of Nigeria’s 64th Independence Day celebration and Nasarawa State at 28.
According to a press release on Monday, September 30, 2024, signed by the Nasarawa State Police Public Relations Officer, DSP Ramhan Nansel, the CP wishes all a peaceful celebration.
Ther statement read, “Further to that, the commissioner of police reaffirms the command’s commitment to maintaining law and order as he orders sufficient deployment of manpower and operational assets across the 13 local government areas to ensure a peaceful celebration in the state.Â
“While acknowledging the constitutional rights of the citizens to peaceful protest, the commissioner of police warned violent protesters to have a rethink, as the command will not condone any act of violence/breakdown of law and order in the state, and urged members of the public to go about their lawful businesses without hesitation.
