NITDA Commences Second Phase Of Capacity Building On E-Government For Public Officers

The National Information Technology Development Agency (NITDA) has commenced the second Phase of Capacity Building on e-Government for Public officers on Grade Levels (08-14) at the e-Government Training Centre (eGTC), PSIN, Kubwa.

The training which started on Monday is aimed at building the capacity of public officers of Grade Levels (08-14); to efficiently carry out government activities using Information Technology.

This is in line with implementing the National Digital Economy Policy and Strategy (NDEPS) and the e-Government Master Plan.

It will be recalled that the Federal Government, through the Ministry of Communications and Digital Economy commenced the Service-Wide Capacity Building on e-Government with the Directorate cadres of the various ministries, Extra-ministerial, Department and Agencies (MDAs) and State Civil Servants.

Batches A and B of employees on Grade Levels 15-17 had their training at the E-Government Training Centre, Public Service Institute of Nigeria (PSIN), Kubwa, Abuja from August 11 to 14.

During the exercise, Chairman of the Governing Board, E-Government Training Centre and Director General of the National Information Technology Development Agency (NITDA), Kashifu Inuwa Abdullahi, stated that the Minister of Communications and Digital Economy, Dr. Isa Ali Pantami, had directed the board to train all Civil Servants nationwide on the initiative in line with President Muhammadu Buhari’s quest for digitalisation of government activities.
