Chairman, New Niger Development Project, Alhaji Mustapha Abubakar-Bida, has described the death of Hajiya Zainab Garba, wife of the Deputy Governor, Comrade Yakubu Garba as a big loss, not only to his family but also Niger State and the nation as a whole.
“The deceased showed love to the people who live in her domain, irrespective of their tribe, religious inclination and in spite of these she was a Godly mother who had the interest of her people at heart above any other thing,” Abubakar-Bida said.
The Chairman NNDP who is also the Sarkin Dawaki Nupe in his condolence message in Minna on Tuesday described the Deputy Governor’s wife has a committed technocrat, patriotic woman leader and a de-tribalised Nigerian.
He said her death had created a great vacuum which would be difficult to fill.
“Though God has his reason for taking her at this point in time, as the people of the state have enjoyed her motherly advice, which will be greatly missed,” Sarkin Dawaki Nupe added
Abubakar-Bida, however, prayed God to grant her soul internal rest in Aljannatul fildausi, and to grant the Farmer Governor, Umaru-Bago, Deputy Governor, Comrade Yakubu Garba and members of her family the fortitude to bear the loss.
