The Integrity Youth Alliance has said that the Nigerian National Petroleum Corporation (NNPC) under the Management of Mallam Mele Kyari never mismanaged the Kaduna Refinery as published by International Centre for Investigative Reporting.
According to a press release on Saturday 19th June, 2021, signed by the National Coordinator of the Alliance, Kelvin Adegbenga, he said that Expression of Interest (EOI) for the Provision of Operations and Maintenance (O&M) Services for Three Nigerian National Petroleum Corporation (NNPC) Refineries: Port-Harcourt Refining Company (PHRC), Warri Refining and Petrochemical Company (WRPC), and Kaduna Refining and Petrochemical Company (KRPC) was advertised few months ago in order to ensure reliability and sustainability to meet the nation’s fuel supply obligation.
“The Operations and Maintenance Contract scope of work shall cover, but not be limited to, the following refinery business processes: Long term and short term production/operations planning; Production and operations execution; Monitoring, reporting and optimization of operations; Maintenance planning (short term); Maintenance execution; Reliability and inspection; Process and controls engineering; Quality Control, Quality Assurance and Laboratory; Specialist engineering; Health and Safety; Environmental management; Turnaround maintenance planning and execution; Minor projects; Non-hydrocarbon Procurement; Sub-contractor management and Inventory and warehouse management, the statement said.
“It may interest the International Centre for Investigative Reporting and the general public that all Expression of Interests shall be opened virtually, following the deadline for bids submission on Wednesday 16th June 2021 using the NNPC Microsoft Teams as part of the Transparency and Accountability initiated by Mele Kyari in the NNPC, the statement concluded.
