……Chides Northern elders
The Northern Coalition for Good Governance (NCGG) has commended President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, for taking a bold step to sack the former boss of the Nigeria Christians Pilgrimage Commission NCPC Rev Yakubu Pam.
In a statement issued today in Yola the publicity secretary of the group Dr . Emmanuel Yohanna, said that the action of the president has rekindled the hopes of Nigerians that he can stamp out corruption in the country.
The group asked Nigerians to disregard the purported statement issued by a northern elders group condemning the removal of Pam.
“Where were the so-called northern elders when Pam Church Assemblies of God church sacked him and wrote plateau state government”.
“Where were the northern elders when the Christian Association of Nigeria CAN accused Pam of diverting Adamawa state pilgrimages money and left them frustrated in Rome, it appears the purported northern elders group is standing for corruption ” he stated.
The NCGG asked Mr President to continue with his Renewed Hope Agenda and forget about political job seekers.
The statement reaffirmed NCGG’s commitment to support President Tinubu’s government to ensure that Nigeria has regained its position as the giant of Africa.
The group insisted that president Tinubu’s led government has exhibited the capacity to rescue the country from the claws of nepotism, corruption and the comatose economy.
The group urged Nigerian youth and women to stand up and support the present administration in their interest and the future generations.
