The erstwhile Director General of Labour Party Presidential Campaign Organisation, Dr Doyin Okupe who voluntarily resigned his appointment as DG Campaign following an indictment in the Federal High Court in Abuja recently, was cited with other Obidient members in Ekiti on Thursday.
Dr Okupe whose late appearance was greeted with great excitement by members of the Labour Party was quoted as saying, “There is no going back, this great Obidient Movement must push on till victory is achieved.”
Recall that in March 2022, the Former Presidential Spokesperson and frontline 2023 Presidential aspirant under the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), Dr Doyin Okupe announced that he is suspending his campaign and backing the “best aspirant not only in Igboland but in Nigeria as a whole” and team up with Peter Obi to give the South the best possible chance.
Also, the Labour Party named Dr Doyin Okupe as the Vice Presidential candidate to Peter Obi who is the presidential candidate of the party but in a placeholder capacity to beat the Friday deadline set by the Independent National Electoral Commission.
