Omo-Agege Sympathizes With Flood Victims

…Says, “I see your pain, I feel your pain, and; I hear your pain. Help is on the way”.

The Deputy Senate President and Delta APC Gubernatorial Candidate, Sen. Ovie Omo-Agege, has called on the Ministry of Humanitarian Affairs, Disaster Management and Social Development, National Emergency Management Agency (NEMA), State Emergency Management Agency (SEMA) and other relevant agencies to provide urgent humanitarian assistance to affected flood victims in Delta state and other parts of the country.

He also urged the relevant agencies to provide timely early warning for flood-prone areas to forestall the loss of lives and property in such places.

Omo Agege commiserated with victims of flood disasters in various parts of the state and urged vulnerable communities to move to safer locations and cooperate with government officials providing support.

“I see your pain, I feel your pain, and; I hear your pain. Help is on the way, Omo Agege said.

He said the devastation caused by the floods to food crops, farmlands, houses, and property, resulting in some cases in loss of lives, was worrisome to all.

He urged the hundreds of victims whose houses, and vehicles were submerged by the devastating floods, to persevere in these trying times, and prayed to God to give them the fortitude
