……Describes Acclaimed Babayemi Loyalists As APC Errand Boys
The office of State Chairman of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) has disowned a group parading itself as executive committee of Otun Balogun ward 2, Ayedaade local government area and hereby released the authentic list to confirm that Prince Dotun Babayemi was duly expelled by the official leadership of the party at the said ward.
In a statement issued by the Director Of Media Peoples Democratic Party Osun State Chapter, Oladele Bamiji HOB, in a reaction to the disputation over the ward executive, the state leadership noted that the list of executive committee members who expelled Babayemi tallied with the official list of ward leadership from the state and national level, describing those making false claims as errand boys of the All Progressives Congress (APC).
For record purposes, the 17 ward officials of Otun Balogun ward 2, Ayedaade LGA were elected on the 25th of September 2021 at a duly conducted ward Congress in some wards as applicable in the administrative workings of our party in the state and as supervised by national office of the party.
These elected officials as contained in the record of the party at the national office and duly verified by the state chapter of the party are as follows: Chief Awodeji Julius – Chairman; Hon Rabiu ISIAKA – Vice Chairman; Mr Ogunleye Bukayo – Secretary; Odejobi Babayunde – Assistant Secretary; Oyeleke Julianah – Treasurer; Adegbenle Felix – Financial Secretary; Adeleke Yemi – Organizing Secretary; Adebayo Zacheaus – Publicity Secretary; Olusoji Adenike – Women Leader; Adebiyi Olumide – Youth Leader.
Others are Suleimon Adebayo – Legal Adviser; Oyewole Abraham – Auditor; Okewumi Mathew – Ex Officio; Olaolu Olatunde – Ex Officio; Oloyede Joshua – Ex Officio; Olawumi Aanu – Ex Officio; and Oyelami Rufus – Ex Officio.
The statement affirmed that above officials had the statutory powers on the processes leading to the eventual expulsion of Babayemi from the PDP, after being found guilty of anti- party activities and other offences negating extant rules regulating conducts of our party members, calling on interested stakeholders to verify the record both national and Osun State offices of the PDP.
While confirming that these officials were the recognised leadership of the party at the ward level, the party warns Prince Babayemi to steer clear of PDP affairs in the local government forthwith or face the wrath of the law and that of members of the party in the local government.
The party is handing down this warning against the backdrop of fake individuals apparently sponsored by Prince Babayemi, who are parading themselves as officials of the party in the ward.
This in our opinion is in furtherance of the avowed collaboration of Babayemi with rejected APC to destabilize our great party as well as conjuring a template for their possible infiltration of the judiciary on the frivolous court cases.
The party state leadership also called on Babayemi not to overreach himself as members of the party will not hesitate to deploy the full weight of the law against his destructive antics against the party in the State, warning that the nation’s constitution was not fabricated for preferential treatment or respect for anyone with delusional status or ego.
The expelled member is advised to desist from undermining elected party officials in the ward and PDP will stop at nothing to protect interest of its members and especially that of the good people of Osun, who defied all odds to accord Senator Ademola Jackson Nurudeen Adeleke, resulting in him being elected as the state Governor in the recently held gubernatorial election.
For sake of emphasis, we challenge those sponsored by Babayemi, parading themselves as alternate PDP ward executives in the Otun Balogun ward 2 in Ayedaade local government to come up with their documented election result as approved by the national office, to support their impostor utterances.
In the absence of this, they are advised to stop usurping activities against our party or be prepare to face the consequences.
