The Honourable Minister of Communications and Digital Economy, Dr Isa Ali Ibrahim Pantami has presented the sub committee’s report to the main committee.
It will be recalled that Pantami chaired the Diamond/Innovation/Change Challenge Sub-Committee of the Nigeria @60 Inter-Ministerial Committee charged with the mandate of ensuring active online participation of Nigerians in voting for the preferred logo as well as coming up with other creative aspects of the event.
The presentation was done on Tuesday during the 7th Inter-Ministerial Committee meeting held at the Federal Ministry of Works and Housing, Abuja.
President Muhammadu Buhari launched and unveiled the anniversary logo on September 16th 2020 as part of Federal Government’s initiative of having an inclusive Diamond Jubilee Celebration.
The selected diamond jubilee logo depicts togetherness as a country of approximately 200 million people whose natural talent, grit and passion glitter together like the precious diamond that we are. It is a clear illustration of the saying “…we are only as strong as we are united, as weak as we are divided.”
