The Plateau State Police Commissioner, CP Bartholomew N. Onyeka has commended the NYSC for its role in fostering national unity and urged the corps members to take advantage of the opportunities provided by the scheme to learn about the culture and way of life of the people in the state while emphasizing the need for them to be security conscious and obedient to Camp rules at all times.
According to a press release by the Plateau State Police Public Relations Officer, DSP Alfred Alabo, said the CP made the remarks on Thursday, 4th May 2023 when he visited the Batch A stream 2 PL/MGU Youth Corners at the Plateau State NYSC Orientation Camp in Mangu LGA.
In her remarks while welcoming the Commissioner of Police, the Plateau State NYSC Coordinator Mrs Ikupolati, Esther Tosin expressed her gratitude to the CP for his visit and reiterated the commitment of the NYSC to the success of the orientation exercise and the overall success of the scheme.
The Police Commissioner assured them of the commitment of the Police Command to ensure their safety and security throughout their stay in the state.
The Corp members presented a Thank-You gift to the Commissioner of Police, as he bid them farewell and journey mercies to their Places of Primary Assignment (PPA).
