The Zonal headquarters on Tuesday observed the decoration ceremony of officers of the Nigeria Police Force serving at the Zonal Headquarters Ukpo.
According to a press release signed by the Zone Police Public Relations Officer, Zone 13 Headquarters, Ukpo, SP. Ihunwo Josephine K. said that an activity that beams rays of hope on every police officer was ably chaired by AIG Godwin N. Aghaulor at the Zonal Headquarters. The event witnessed the meritorious elevation of Officers of the Command, who were promoted to the substantive ranks of Chief Superintendents of Police (CSP) and Superintendent of Police (SP), respectively.
During a keynote speech, the AIG heartily congratulated the officers on their well-deserved promotions to new substantive ranks in the Nigeria Police Force and described it as a joyful moment, whose well-deserved time has come. While registering his pleasure with the way Officers are getting their due promotions, the AIG thanked the Inspector-General of Police Olukayode Adeolu Egbetokun PhD, NPM, and the Force management team for the steady boosting of the morale of Officers and Men of the Police Force, and urged the beneficiaries to reciprocate the good gestures of the IGP and the Police Service Commission. The AIG tasked the officers to do more with what had been given to them.
The list of beneficiaries from the newly promoted officers included the O/C monitoring Unit, Zone 13 Ukpo CSP Okafor Ignatius, promoted from SP to CSP, CSP Ngozi Anene, SP to CSP, and SP Eguaoba Sunday attached to the Anti Cultism Unit, promoted from Deputy Superintendent of Police to SP.
The officers in response appreciated the IGP, the PSC, alongside the AIG and the management team, while thanking God for making the day a dream come true in their individual lives. The officers assured of a sustained effort in carrying out their official duties in their new capacities.
