Police Beef Up Security Across Nasarawa State Ahead Of Easter Celebration

The Nasarawa State Commissioner of Police, CP Umar Shehu Nadada has heartily felicitated with Christian faithful throughout the State on the occasion of this year’s Easter celebration.

According to a press release on Thursday, 28th March 2024 signed by Nasarawa State Police Public Relations Officer, DSP Ramhan Nansel, said that sequel to this, the Nasarawa State Police Command in a bid to ensure a hitch-free celebration, has deployed over Two Thousand Police personnel across the State for crime prevention and control; this will cover places of worships, recreation centres, public and private facilities. Surveillance/intelligence gathering and continuous raids of criminal hideouts, black spots/vulnerable points, and high visibility policing will be sustained throughout the period to guarantee the safety of lives and properties.

“Members of the public are hereby implored to cooperate with Police personnel deployed for crime prevention across the State; as they have been warned to be civil, polite but firm in ensuring the security and safety of travelers and other road users.

“The Commissioner of Police i, therefore, assuring members of the public of the Command’s renewed commitment to ensure adequate safety of lives and properties during this period and beyond.
