….Says it’s a new level of call of duty and higher responsibilities they must rise to
The Enugu State Command’s Commissioner of Police, CP Ahmed Ammani, fd, has admonished newly promoted Senior Police Officers in the Command, to see their promotion to the next ranks as a new level of call of duty with higher responsibilities in their policing career, which they must rise to, to justify the promotion and further serve God and humanity in their daily tours of duty.
According to a press release on Friday, 7th April 2023 signed by the Enugu State Police Public Relations Officer, DSP Daniel Ndukwe, said that the CP made this known at the CP’s Conference Hall, State Headquarters, G.R.A, Enugu, during the decoration ceremony of some of the newly promoted Officers, including two Assistant Commissioners of Police and four Chief Superintendents of Police (CSPs).
Those promoted from the rank of CSP and decorated on the new rank of ACP are Emmanuel Obasi and Tokoni Fiebai; while Okey Ediala, Emmanuel Ochasi, Kelvin Nwagu and Prisca Ezeh, promoted from the rank of Superintendent of Police (SP), were decorated on the new rank of CSP.
The event, which was witnessed by the promotees spouses, friends and well-wishers, saw the Command’s Management Team members, including DCP Olasoji Akinbayo, DCP Peter Ezebuike, ACP Onyeamu Akaeme, ACP Hope Okereke and other Senior Officers, congratulate and further admonished the newly promoted Officers to rededicate themselves to duty and live up to expectations.
In his vote of thanks, ACP Emmanuel Obasi, on behalf of the promoted Officers, thanked the Inspector-General of Police, IGP Usman Alkali Baba for finding them worthy of recommendation for the promotion and the Police Service Commission for expressly approving the promotion.
He also thanked the Commissioner of Police and his management team for all the support and words of admonishment, while stating the avowed commitment of the promotees to rededicate themselves to the service of the nation and humanity, live up to expectations and justify the confidence reposed on them through the promotion.
