The Delta State Police Command says it has apprehended two suspects who specialize in stealing mobile phones from tricycle passengers.
This was contained in a statement by the Police Public Relations Officer for the Delta State Command, SP. Edafe Bright on Thursday.
He disclosed that the duo Collins Akpinoba, aged 27yrs who conspired with one David Paulson, age 38yrs to rob one Ezeugwu Akanso were immediately handed over to the Police.
“In another development, on 27/03/2024 at about 1800hrs Anti-Crime patrol team Agbor division while on stop and search intercepted one John Chikwuji, aged 25yrs a native of Ekuku-Agbor going from Agbor to Ekuku-Agbor community, when the suspect was subjected to a search, one Beretta pistol was recovered. An investigation is ongoing, SP Edafe said.
Meanwhile, CP Abaniwonda Olufemi has reiterated that fighting criminals is the primary goal of the Command.
He warns all criminals to refrain from illegal activities, and if they fail to do so, they will face the full might of the law.
He further assures that the command is making every effort to address the severe social challenges and detrimental impacts of violent crimes.
