The Nigeria Police National Cybercrime Center under the FCID is currently investigating complaints lodged against Blord Group, Blord Real Estate Ltd, Blord Jetpaye Limited, and Billpoint Technology.
According to a statement on Tuesday, 16th July 2024 signed by the Nigeria Police Spokesperson, ACP Olumuyiwa Adejobi said that these offences include allegations bothering cryptocurrency fraud, aiding internet fraud, computer-related fraud, terrorism funding, and non-compliance with regulatory frameworks.
“We will do due diligence in our investigations. Our cyberspace in Nigeria must be safe and secure by all means. We are committed to achieving that, the statement said.
Recall that in compliance with regulations by the Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN) banks in Nigeria have warned customers that trading cryptocurrency will lead to account closures and being reported to law enforcement authorities.
