Police Issues Warning Regarding Any Form Of Criminal Activity In Gombe State

The Gombe State Police Command in light of recent incidents in neighboring Adamawa state, has warned members of the public to be law-abiding and never engage in any form of criminal activities as it is taking proactive steps to ensure the safety and security of the citizens of the state.

According to a press release signed by the Gombe State Police Public Relations Officer, ASP Mahid Muazu Abubakar, said that the primary objective of the warning is to prevent any potential criminal activities and maintain law and order within the State.

“The Police Commissioner, CP Oqua Etim has directed all heads of departments, Area Commanders, Divisional Police Officers, and Tactical Commanders to maintain a heightened level of vigilance in their respective areas of responsibility.

“They have also been directed to collaborate closely with other security agencies to share information and intelligence, ensuring a coordinated effort to address any emerging threats, Abubakar said.

He further said that the CP acknowledged the concerns and challenges faced by the residents of Gombe and urged them to remain calm and law-abiding during these difficult times.

He assured the public that the government is actively working to alleviate their hardships and restore normalcy as everyone needs to remember that tough times are temporary, and together, we can overcome these challenges.

In addition, the Police Command advises parents and guardians to be vigilant and proactive in safeguarding their children or wards.

“Parents are strongly advised to warn their children against associating themselves with bad companies or engaging in activities that may compromise their safety or lead them down the wrong path. By instilling good values and providing guidance, parents play a crucial role in shaping the future of their children and protecting them from potential harm.

“The Gombe State Police Command is committed to ensuring the safety and security of all residents.
