The Gombe Police Command has refuted the viral social media purported arrest of suspected kidnappers at G.R.A.
According to a press release on Tuesday, 25th January 2023 signed by the Gombe State Command Public Relations Officer, ASP Mahid Mu’azu Abubakar, said that the viral fake news is not only mischievous but a calculated attempt to create panic and fear in the minds of the law-abiding citizens and to derail our focus in ensuring peaceful conduct of the electioneering process especially now that public campaigns and rallies, has reached its climax.
“To set the record straight, on Monday, 23rd January 2023 based on credible information, the Police tactical team apprehended two suspects at G.R.A for alleged Impersonation and Attempt to Commit an Offence. While two other suspects were at large, the case is under investigation, ASP Mahid Mu’azu Abubakar said.
