Police To Create Special Intervention Squad In Nine Other States And Bauchi – IGP

Bauchi has been designated as one of the ten pilot states for the establishment of the Special Intervention Squad (SIS) by the Inspector General of Police, IGP Kayode Egbetokun.

The IGP launched the SIS as a new security initiative to combat crime and criminal activity nationwide with efficacy.

During a courtesy visit to Governor Bala Mohammed at Government House Bauchi, IGP Kayode Egbetokun revealed this information. He said that the state was selected due to its strategic advantage in tackling security issues in the northern regions of the nation.

He praised Governor Bala Mohammed for giving the Nigerian Police Force all the assistance it needs.

In response, Governor Bala Mohammed pledged his administration’s assistance for the accomplishment of any efforts aimed at safeguarding citizens’ lives and property, praising the IGP’s intervention.

But he pleaded with the IGP to provide the state police command with even more cutting-edge facilities so that operations could be improved.
