Port Harcourt Refining Company Rehabilitation Technical Meeting Kicks Off

The Technical Kick-off Meeting of the Port Harcourt Refining Company (PHRC) Rehabilitation Project holds today, 6th May, 2021.

According to a tweet on the NNPC Twitter handle, today’s significant event will mark the commencement of site handover, introduction of technical teams and full mobilization to site.

It will be recalled that Tuesday, 6th April, 2021 the signing of the Engineering, Procurement and Construction (EPC) contract for the Rehabilitation of Port Harcourt Refining Company (PHRC) by the Group Managing Director of the Nigerian National Petroleum Corporation, Mallam Mele Kolo Kyari and the Managing Director of the Port Harcourt Refining Company, Ahmed Dikko and Vice President, Sub Saharan African Region of Tecnimont SpA, Davide Pelizzolam took place at the NNPC Tower, Abuja.

There is no doubt that in 44 months, the entire work shall be delivered to Nigerians

For transparency and accountability purposes, the Nigeria Extractive Industries Transparency Initiative, Infrastructure Concession Regulatory Commission, Petroleum and Natural Gas Senior Staff Association, Nigeria Union of Petroleum and Natural Gas Workers and the Media will be part of the monitoring process of the rehabilitation of the Refineries.
