Re: Nigerian Government Officials Plot To Replace Christian Nominated For Chairmanship Of National Population Commission With Muslim

By Comrade Abubakar Idris Adamu

I read the above caption on Sahara Reporters publication dated 23rd August, 2020. Permit me to begin with a popular adage that says” *the further society drifts from the truth, the more it will hate those that speak it*”.- George Orwell.

That is the root cause of the matter. Now looking into the topic of discussion, one may agree with me that Nasarawa State and its people have never had it so good like under the regime of Engr. Abdullahi A. Sule, the Executive Governor of Nasarawa State judging by his leadership style that is devoid of religious or ethnic coloration.

In an attempt to write fair rebuttal on antics of mischief makers who conjure up falsehood, especially on the above subject matter, what comes to my mind is to draw the attention of His Excellency, Engr. Abdullahi A. Sule, the choice of God, the hope of rural populace and the engineer of modern Nasarawa State, to is often repeated phrase “Allah is greater than All”

The writer of motor park accusation in question must be aware that the language of hate speech directed at individuals, people or groups based on their religion, ethnicity, gender or other identity factor with the sole aim of character assassination, has been the root cause of many conflicts in developing and developed nations. One may wonder the rationale behind using the language of hate speech in the view it’s wide spread condemnation locally, nationally and internationally.

If I may re-orientate the thinking of the writer, the appointment of His Excellency, Hon. Silas A. Agara as the Chairman of the Population Commission (NPC) is purely a presidency affair.

It has nothing to do with His Excellency, Engr. Abdullahi A. Sule led government, since the matter is not even at nomination stage, neither did the presidency requested for the input of His Excellency, Engr. Abdullahi A. Sule, over possible replacement to warrant all this noise. And If I may ask the writer, what will His Excellency, Engr. Abdullahi A. Sule gain from supporting someone from Kano State? I think dragging Nasarawa State governor into such baseless accusation is neither here or there.

Needless to stress that their Excellencies, Engr. Abdullahi A. Sule and Hon Silas A. Agara are closely related in number of ways. The sudden claim of rift or misrepresentation of facts by unpatriotic elements is very laughable. President Muhammadu Buhari or Governor Abdullahi A. Sule are not religious or ethnic bigots as far as their leadership styles are concerned.

Anyone who has been monitoring their actions ranging from spread of appointments and capital projects for the past years, will wonder the reason behind this unsubstantiated claimes by Sahara Reporters.

Believe it or not, no amount of blackmail or cooked up stories by mischief makers could trigger their Excellencies, President Muhammadu Buhari or Governor Abdullahi A. Sule to lose focus, objective and consolidation mantra of next level agenda in Nigeria as well as exceeding all expectations in Nasarawa State.

Conclusively, Nasarawa State led government under the dynamic, visionary and purposive leadership of His Excellency, Engr. Abdullahi A. Sule doesn’t believe in politics of exclusion or bitterness. The beneficiaries of his inclusive leadership style are countless. He is just and fair to all manners of people, in the quest to provide the desire leadership in line with Oath of his Office.

Indeed, leadership can be hard to define, and it mean different things to different people. For Engr. Abdullahi A. Sule, leadership is all about effective, selfless and visionary service, without discrimination and above all with the fear of God. Certainly Nasarawa State is in save hands! 4+4=8!!
