A report from SB Morgan published on the 21/06/2020 titled “Rivers of blood: Gang violence in Nigeria’s garden state”, has come to the attention of the State government and the state government wishes to reiterate that the attempts to paint the Rivers State Government as not being proactive in securing the state and ridding it of criminal elements is factually incorrect.

Over the past 5 years from the inception of the current administration led by HE Nyesom Wike, the state has witnessed massive investments in areas of the security infrastructure and its impacts can be seen by anyone.

April 2020 report by the Vanguard Newspapers outlined the massive Foreign Direct Investments that has been attracted to the state due the massive investments made by the administration in protecting lives and property of residents and indigenes of the state

In July 2019, Governor Nyesom Wike was applauded by both indigenes and residents of the state for his massive investments in security.

It is disingenuous for SB Morgan, a private firm who has not interacted with residents of Rivers state to publish such a report undermining the gains made by the Wike led administration in areas of security which has brought massive investments to the state over the past 5 years.
