…As Monarch Lauds Gombe Governor’s Incredible Performance
The Emir of Gombe, Alhaji Abubakar Shehu Abubakar lll has paid glowing tribute to Governor Muhammadu Inuwa Yahaya for his holistic approach in addressing the myriad of challenges in the state and for his pragmatic leadership which he said has led to the execution of life changing projects.
In a press release on Thursday 22nd July, 2021 signed by the Director- General (Press Affairs) Gombe Government House, Ismaila Uba Misilli, he said that the Emir, who was on a traditional Sallah homage to the Governor at the Government House, particularly applauded the Governor’s numerous developmental projects, particularly the ‘network eleven hundred’ project in which at least one hundred kilometers of roads are being constructed in each of the eleven Local Government areas of the State.
He also scored the Governor very high in areas of revitalization of healthcare facilities and repositioning the education sector among others, describing the achievements so far recorded by the Governor as monumental and unprecedented.
The traditional ruler noted that there is no area in the state that has not witnessed the remarkable and developmental strides of Governor Yahaya’s administration.
Dr. Abubakar Shehu Abubakar, who is also the Chairman of the Gombe State Council of Emirs and Chiefs, appreciated the Governor for his steadfastness in ensuring peace and stability in the state, calling on people to complement his efforts by living in peace with one another and being prayerful for sustained stability and prosperity in the state.
In his response, Governor Yahaya, assured the Emir and the entire people of the state that his administration will deliver on its campaign promises and even do more, acknowledging that his government has been enjoying fatherly advice, prayers and support from the royal father.
He said his administration will not relent in seeking the support, cooperation and wise counsel of the traditional rulers and opinion leaders in order to lead the State in the most effective and efficient manner.
He added that the achievements recorded in the two years of his stewardship will not have been possible without the support of the traditional institution and the people of the state in general.
Governor Yahaya noted that it is only when there is peace that Government can provide social amenities and other services for the wellbeing of the people and therefore appealed to the citizenry to jealousy guard the prevailing tranquility in the state.
While appreciating the emir on his efforts to attract investors into the state, the governor said Emir Abubakar and his administration have similar vision and mission of taking Gombe to the level it can favourably complete with any other state in the country.
He assured of continued harmonious relationship between his administration and the traditional institution, praying for Almighty Allah to sustain the emir’s reign in peace and prosperity.
The Emir later led thousands of Horsemen clad in colorful robes in a spectacular parade to the admiration of the Governor and other dignitaries present.
