Show Love For Nigeria, Gov. Sule Urges Nigerians In Diaspora

Gov. Abdullahi Sule of Nasarawa State has urged Nigerians in Diaspora to show love for the country by returning home to participate in politics and other investments.

Sule made the during the National Day for “Nigerians in Diaspora Day” in Abuja recently.

Sule, who was represented by Mr. Yakubu Lamai, Director General, Strategic Communication and Event Management stated that ‘now more than ever before, Nigerians in the diaspora should not only carry Nigeria in their hearts

He said that returning to their ancestral home would enable them to contribute their quota positively to the development of the country.

According to him, “Nigerians at home and Nigerians in the diaspora, should always love their country for it to compete favourably with other developed countries worldwide

“It is my love for Nigeria that brought me back home after spending over 30 years in America to offer myself to serve the governor of Nasarawa State, Engr AA Sule

“And this love for my fatherland continues to inspire me to exceed all expectations in public service, as a flagbearer for the diaspora community!’

“But we must stand up and participate in politics to enable us to bring our diverse range of voices to support and speak up for our shared concerns, as people who love our country of origin,” he said

Sule has restated his continued commitment to contributing positively to the development of the country.

The statement also said that President Muhammadu Buhari, who was represented by his Chief of Staff, Professor Ibrahim Gambari also confirmed that at this point in our political growth, “our country, Nigeria needs Nigerians in the diaspora!”

The News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) reports that the event hosted by Chairperson/CEO NIDCOM, Hon (Dr) Abike Dabiri-Erewa was attended by Sen.Umaru Tanko Al-makura among others.
