Erstwhile National Publicity Secretary of the defunct New People’s Democratic Party (nPDP) and chieftain of the All Progressives Congress, Chief Eze Chukwuemeka Eze says when obdurate, unrepentant saboteurs like one hollow-brained Tony Okocha and his ilk are given a political platform to make comments, it becomes unarguable that the Nigerian political playground has fast degenerated into a safe playground for characteristically defective and valueless neophytes with penchants for double-dealing and political merchandise.
Okocha, had, while addressing journalists in Port Harcourt on Sunday, declared that Amaechi was no longer the leader of APC in the State; claiming he had mobilised and galvanized support in the state for the APC presidential candidate, Senator Ahmed Bola Tinubu, and that the party won fair and square in Rivers State with the huge support it received from Governor Nyesom Ezenwo Wike.
Mr. Okocha went further to say that the action of Amaechi was the height of anti-party activity as the former governor had long abandoned the party, saying he was now the leader of the APC in Rivers State.
Reacting to Okocha’s comment, Chief Eze said it is disheartening that a shameless and characterless fellow like Tony Okocha whom Amaechi picked from the gutter and appointed Chief of Staff while as the Governor of Rivers State is now showcasing how foolish he is by calling out and denigrating the person and personality of Rt. Hon. Chibuike Rotimi Amaechi.
Eze asked Okocha to explain if he was a member of APC during the 2023 general elections to be privy of any decision by the party’s leadership as regards the outcome of the elections as he refused to validate his membership of the party and date has no membership card of the Party. but a hireling doing the bid of those sponsoring him for his dirty work in Rivers State
Chief Eze said Okocha is a chameleon, always changing colours and stooping lower than his lowly level to sustain his ever empty stomach and insatiable appetite for hot drinks.
Maybe Okocha has again, run into bankruptcy as the fund realized from his political merchandise – to destabilize APC in Rivers State has finished, so cooking up falsehoods against Amaechi would trigger his paymasters to send him some funds and extra food.
“I have severally told Okocha to leave Amaechi alone as they are not at the same level and will never be brought so low to join issues with him in his dirty type of politics”, Eze noted.
Eze said although under a democracy, every citizen has freedom of choice and the right over who to vote in an election, on no occasion did Amaechi ask anybody either to vote for Atiku or vote against him. Amaechi is not cast in that mould of teleguiding his followers but Wike and the likes of Okocha who are busybodies will never discuss serious issues but issues that have little or no bearing on how to get Nigeria out of the mess that we are currently facing as a nation.
A situation where hunger and insecurity are wiping out Nigerians in thousands out of the face of the world should be a source of concern to any serious Nigerian; and not trivial cocktails.
Eze Counseled Okocha in his demented mind to look for a solution to his myriad of problems including fading health and sickly physique and leave Amaechi alone.
