Operatives of the FCT Police Command attached to the Zuba Motor Park, Abuja, on Wednesday arrested two men, namely Uzo Nwannyaga Peter Onovo, and Micheal Nwude, both residents of Zuba, with six brand new Pump Action and twenty-five cartridges billed for delivery to Kano State.
An investigation by Swift Reporters revealed that six brand new Pump Actions were coming from Anambra State in transit from Abuja to Kano State.
Recall that the FCT Police Command has beefed up security at all the parks in the FCT as part of the security measures put in place to secure the Federal Capital.
The operatives always ensure that all parcels entering and exiting the parks are searched, and in the process, they intercepted the parcel of the wrapped carton with a phone number attached to it as the person who would receive the delivery in Kano.
Further investigation revealed that the suspects arrived at Zuba Park around 2 p.m., looking for a vehicle bound for Kano, and were immediately apprehended and handed over to Zuba Division Police Operatives.
The FCT Police Command Public Relations Officer, DSP Josephine Adeh, ANIPR, Mipra, confirmed the arrest of the suspects and said that the suspects are in custody undergoing further interrogation.
