Former first lady and wife of the Minister for Transportation, Dame Judith Amaechi says conferment of traditional honour on deserving Nigerians along ethnic lines will promote national unity, cultural diversity and ethnic tolerance.
In a press release signed by the Media aide to wife of minister of Transportation, Dr. Dike Bekwele, MNIPR, Dame Amaechi stated this Saturday during the Turbanning of her husband as the Dan Amanar Daura by the Daura Emirate Council in Katsina State.
She said such recognition from another ethnic nationality would lead to national integration and peaceful co-existence among Nigerians.
Dame Amaechi while responding on the admission of her husband into Daura Emirate council says such gesture will also promote ethnic and cultural ties and bonds across the Niger.
“Today is indeed remarkable in the life of my family and the country at Large, this event will rejuvenate closer ties and bonds between and among ethnic lines as Nigerians from all walks of lives attended this auspicious event. It goes to show the place of peace, unity of purpose and oneness, it’s also a demonstration of love and an affirmation of excellence on a Nigerian public servant who has done well for his people in delivering on his mandate of providing and revamping rail infrastructure and connecting Nigeria to Nigerians”.Mrs Amaechi who paid glowing tributes on her husband says the family has already offered him to the service of God and humanity

Mrs Amaechi further appreciated President Muhammad Buhari for sending a high powered delegation at the event and the Daura Emir Council for the recognition and honour done to her husband.
