We Will Not Tolerate Criminalities – Bayelsa Security Council

The Bayelsa State Security Council says the government will go tough on criminal elements still operating in the State.

Briefing newsmen after the council meeting presided by Governor Douye Diri, the Special Adviser on Security I, Mr. Akpoebi Agberebi, said government would not tolerate crimes and criminalities in any part of the state.

“The governor is disturbed at the recent ugly incident at the Tombia round about where some ladies were injured. The governor has directed the Health Commissioner to take over the treatment of the victims. Going forward, there will be adequate deployment of security personnel. We will ensure the people keep safe”, Agberebi said.

Also, the representative of the Commissioner of Police, Deputy Commissioner of Police, Operations, Mr. Aminu Alhassan, said the continued collaboration among the different security agencies would reduce security challenges ahead of the Yuletide.

“We have formulated how to tackle any form of criminalities. We will put logistics in place to ensure peaceful celebration”, Alhassan assured.
