… Assures public safety during the yuletide
The Commissioner of Police Nasarawa State Command, CP Umar Shehu Nadada, has heartily felicitated the Christian faithful and residents of the state on the coming Christmas and New Year celebration as he deploys four thousand, five hundred police operatives to the nooks and crannies of the state to ensure public safety throughout the yuletide.
A statement signed by the Nasarawa State Police Public Relations Officer, DSP Ramhan Nansel, said that the deployment is characterized by visibility policing at all worship centers and recreational facilities; a high-security presence shall be maintained on the highways to ensure the safety of travelers; and undercover police operatives have also been deployed to carry out covert operations.
The statement read, “Further to that, the Commissioner of Police has ordered all Area Commanders, Divisional Police officers, and heads of tactical teams of the Command to carry out raids at identified flash points or black spots, monitor cult-related activities, and emplace watertight security in their areas of responsibility during the celebration and beyond, warning that any security breach of any form would not be tolerated.
