2023: Obi Will Garner Between 30 And 35 Million Votes – Tanko Yunusa

According to Tanko Yunusa, Peter Obi, the Labour Party’s presidential candidate, will win between 30 and 35 million votes in the 2023 presidential election.

The Labour Party Presidential Campaign Organization Chief Spokesman, Dr Tanko Yusuf, gave the assurance on Friday while appearing on Bright FM’s political show “Bright Republiq.”

He told listeners that at least 50 million voters are anticipated to vote in 2023, with Peter Obi receiving at least 30 million votes.

“Our target and strength in the 2023 Presidential election will be young people between the ages of 18 and 35, and women between the ages of 35 and 40. That is exactly what we are working on, Yunusa said.

He further reiterated that the massive populations of Nigerian youths are the major strength of the Obidatti Movement.

On funding of the 2023 Election, Yunusa said that is not financed by one person, therefore, Peter Obi has created synergy among the youth to the extent that the various Obidients movement now uses their money to produce campaign T-Shirts, banner, and jingle for themselves instead of waiting for the party to fund such.

“Nigerians are the ones funding the campaign. Labour Party is matching its little resources with that of the support group to find the election. The Fund Raising Committee will be constituted soon, Yunusa said.

He emphasised that the Labour party campaign is using crowdfunding to raise money and the campaign is running a transparent account as the income and expenditure of the campaign fund will be made public.

On the party manifesto, Yunusa said that what people saw online was a draft meant for the consumption of the campaign council.

“We want to ensure that we give Nigerians the best document and that is why the manifesto is yet to be out but Peter Obi has given 7 points out of the manifestoes such as creating the right environment and following up on implementing policies; engagement in the aggressive private sector driven economy and block leakages in government; deal with insecurity issue as fast as possible by overhauling the total security architecture and encourage the creation of state and local policing; no government assets will remain idle, assuring that all will be put into productive use in partnership with the private sector.

“Obi’s government will encourage massive production centre growth for food security, ensure effective legal and institutional reforms and expand physical infrastructure; aggressive development of human capital, provide foreign policy to restore Nigeria’s relevance, stimulate industrial revolution, growing foreign reserves and security to lives and property; streamline governance ensure that it is responsive that provides needed services to the populace; adherence to the rule of law and inclusiveness as an essential element in the decision-making process.

On the ASUU strike, Yunusa said that “ASUU is a member of NLC and TUC and don’t forget NLC and TUC own Labour Party.

“Therefore, Labour Party Government will address the issue of incessant strikes by ASUU as everybody will come on board to work together.

On the Soludo article, Yunusa said that the investment Obi made was bringing in millions on return investment when Obi handed it over to Obiano.

“Soludo lied. I challenge him to tell Nigerians to buy that worthless investment if it is true they are worthless. I believe some people are sponsoring Soludo to dent Peter Obi

On a final note, Yunusa said that the outcome of the 2023 general elections will be based on competence, capacity and character and not on religion or ethnicity
