The Niger State Government has directed that all workers in the State should stay at home with effect from Monday 21st December, 2020 until further notice, except Officers on essential services

In a circular signed by the Head of Service, Salamatu Abubakar, the directive was directed to the Chief of Staff to the Governor; The Deputy Chief of Staff, Secretary to the State Government, All Permanent Secretaries, Clerk of the House, the Accountant General, Ministry of Finance, the Auditor General, Head of Extra-ministerial Department and Head of Parastatals.
