Governorship Election: CP Meets Heads Of Security Agencies Ahead In Zamfara

The Zamfara State Police Command under the leadership of CP Kolo Yusuf in Partnership with other heads of security agencies and the INEC has continued to strategize on how to beef up security in all the nooks and crannies of the state before, during, and after the 2023 Governorship and House of Assembly elections, scheduled to hold on Saturday 18th March 2023.

A statement signed by the Zamfara State Police Public Relations Officer, SP Mohammed Shehu, said that as Part of the Strategies, the Commissioner of Police today met with the heads of security agencies in his office, and discussed extensively election security management ahead of March 18th. During the meeting, the CP and his counterparts resolved to improve and sustain the working synergy to ensure adequate security and safety of the state to provide a conducive environment for a free, fair, credible, and peaceful election.

The Commissioner of Police while reassuring the security and safety of the citizens before, during, and after the election periods, urges members of the Public to be law-abiding and at the same time warns troublemakers to desist from anything capable of causing a breach of the public peace and security.
