Hon. Bamidele Salam: I Have Proposed 13 Laws For Better Governance

The member representing Ede North, Ede South, Egbedore, and Ejigbo Federal Constituency of Osun State in the House of Representatives, Hon. Bamidele Salam said that in 3 years, he has the privilege of proposing 13 laws for better governance, improvement in health, job creation and economic growth, protection of citizens’ rights, and enhanced security of Nigerians.

Looking back at the 3 years since his inauguration as a member of the Nigerian National Assembly, he said that he has also facilitated many infrastructure projects (schools, roads, electricity, water) in his Federal constituency and organized a number of programmes to empower constituents and enhance living standards.

His Facebook message read, “On this date, 3 years ago, I was inaugurated as a member of the Nigerian National Assembly, having been elected to represent Ede North, Ede South, Egbedore, and Ejigbo Federal Constituency of Osun State in the House of Representatives.”

“In 3 years, I have the privilege of proposing 13 laws for better governance, improvement in health, job creation & economic growth, protection of citizen’s rights, and enhanced security of our people.

“I facilitated many infrastructure projects (schools, roads, electricity, water) in my Federal constituency and organized a number of programmes to empower constituents and enhance living standards.

“I have, on many occasions, raised my voice and spent resources to support the cause of the poor and vulnerable members of our society.

“In the same vein, I have stood against anti-people laws and policies while fighting to secure justice for the oppressed.”

“I have built relationships and established a network of cooperation with student groups, youth organizations, pensioners, and other civil society groups.

“In spite of all these, I still believe there is a lot more yet to be achieved in the pact I had with God and the electorate.”

I am very hopeful that in the remaining year of this tenure, more will be accomplished by the grace of God to leave an indelible footprint in the sand of time.

“As we look forward to a more glorious future, I thank everyone who has supported me in any way to get to where we are today.”

“I assure you of my continuous commitment to selfless, visionary service as my anchor in political leadership.” The statement concluded with seun, mo dupe.
