The Minister of Communications and Digital Economy, Dr Isa Ali Pantami Friday, October 16, 2020 commissioned the NIGCOMSAT Regional Office, strategically located in Gombe State to serve the North-East Zone. With this development, NIGCOMSAT is now officially open for business in that region. The new office was established in line with the National Digital Economy Policy and Strategy of the Federal Government.
The event was witnessed by HRH, the Emir of Gombe State, Abubakar Shehu Abubakar III, Chairman, NIGCOMSAT Board of Directors, Arc. Yusuf Kazaure, Managing Director of NIGCOMSAT, Dr. Abimbola Alale, Executive Director of Finance & Admin, Mr. Hadi Mohammed, General Manager, Corporate Affairs, Mr. Adamu Idris, Director General of NITDA, Kashifu Inuwa, Executive Director, amongst several other distinguished individuals.
Still in Gombe on his official working visit, Dr. Pantami commissioned the ICT Incubation Hub donated to the Gombe State University by NITDA under the supervision of the Federal Ministry of Communications and Digital Economy, and the NITDA IT Community Centre, Tundun Wada, Gombe. The Honourable Minister and his entourage also paid a courtesy visit on the Executive Governor of Gombe State, Muhammad Inuwa Yahaya.
